This presentation reviews the core tenants of EMDR Psychotherapy as it relates to the treatment of OCD and Phobias. The program will include an overview of ERP (Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy) in combination with the Adaptive Information Processing (AIP) Model as it relates to the assessment procedures, treatment interventions, and skills for accurate conceptualization related to treating OCD and Phobias with EMDR Psychotherapy.

 

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

• Understand the nature of OCD & Phobias and how they relate to trauma processing with EMDR Psychotherapy.
• Demonstrate understanding regarding case conceptualization, treatment planning and target sequencing for clients presenting with OCD and/or Phobias.
• Utilize effectively the AIP Model to conceptualize and plan treatment for clients suffering with OCD and/or Phobias.

Prerequisites

​

• Participants are required to have completed the EMDR Basic Training in full. Participants will be required to provide verification that they are EMDR trained by emailing a copy of their EMDR Basic Training Certificate of Completion to training@lkinstitute.com.

Continuing Education Credits

•  LK Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7464. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. LK Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

  • This program qualifies for 12 NBCC hours.

• LK Institute is an EC Provider (#19005) and this program (#19005-15DL) is approved for 12 EMDRIA credits. Eligibility for EMDRIA Credits is restricted to those who have completed an EMDRIA- Approved Basic EMDR Training. 

  • EMDRIA members qualify for 12 EMDRIA credits.​

• Participants must attend the training in full to receive the continuing education credits. Participants will not receive partial credit for partial attendance.
