This 6 hour workshop designed for clinicians to discuss how to protect their own nervous system when working with traumatized clients. Explore topics of vicarious traumatization, the role of mirror neurons and how to protect yourself from becoming burn out from the powerful work we love. This workshop includes small breakout groups to practice techniques to help anchor clinicians when working in the trenches with our clients' pain, and our own.

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

• Recognize the role of vicarious traumatization in trauma therapy

• Identify 3 risk factors for professional burn out

• Demonstrate anchoring techniques to use when working with traumatized clients
